What do the Error Codes Mean on my Induction Cooktop

The following is an overview of the main errors that can occur on our induction cooktops. Please follow the suggested steps relating to your error to try and remedy the issue.

ERROR CODE: -- and/or E0

POSSIBLE CAUSE AND REMEDY:

Is your pot or pan on the induction zone BEFORE pressing power. Otherwise check cookware suitability (size and induction capability).

ERROR CODE: E2, E3 and E4

Unit is faulty, if item is under warranty, take the item back to place of purchase, along with your proof of purchase for assistance.

ERROR CODE: E5

POSSIBLE CAUSE AND REMEDY:

Many factors can cause this, cease operation of the cooktop for 5 minutes to allow the electronics in the device to reset and then try using the cooktop again. If issue persists, it may be faulty.

ERROR CODE: E6

POSSIBLE CAUSE AND REMEDY:

This error is normally caused by overheating or power supply issues caused by extreme weather. Please check that all air vents on the sides and base of the cooktop are clear and not block. Otherwise, if not the either of the above causes are present cooktop may be faulty, if item is under warranty, take the item back to place of purchase, along with your proof of purchase for assistance.

What pot Sizes are Compatible with the Induction Cooktops.

Our induction cooktops are suited to cooking vessels with a diameter base size of 12-26cm. For proper cooking performance and to ensure that the cooktop can sense your pot/pan to operate it needs to be placed central to the cooking ring marked on the cooktop face.

How do I know if my Cookware is Induction Cooktop Compatible

To test cookware suitability for use with induction cooktop technology simply place a magnet on the bottom of your pot/pan, if the magnet sticks then it is induction compatible. Please note that if your pot/pan has scratches on the base of the pan then this may prevent them from working on these cooktops.

How do I care for the outside of my Product

When Cleaning the outer surface of your Westinghouse appliance please ensure that it has not been used for the necessary length of time to ensure that any parts that may become hot during operation have had time to cool. Then use a non-abrasive cleaning cloth to remove stubborn particles from the items body.

A damp cloth, used with a mild dishwashing detergent, may be necessary to remove grease/grime build up. Apply the detergent to the damp cloth and not directly onto the appliance.

The use of abrasive cleaning clothes may damage the surface and will not be covered by warranty.
