My Instant Hot Water Dispenser has an Error Code what does it mean?

The Westinghouse Instant Hot Water Dispensers come with several safety features to ensure that they remain safe to use and to extend the life of the appliance.

Each unit is fitted with an overheating and low water level safety cut out. Depending on your model this may be visible as an E7 error code or the LED ring around the power button is flashing.

If either error occurs please switch off the appliance and your power point and disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

Ensure the Water Storage vessel is filled to below the MAX level line. Plug the appliance back into your wall socket and switch on the appliance. This should have your Instant Hot Water Dispenser operational again. If not please use the Reset Key that came with your Dispenser, or a similar object to press the reset button that can be found on the front of the appliance near where the side of your cup sits against the dispenser.

For items under warranty, If your appliance shows either an E0, E4 or E5 error for those models with LED display, please contact our customer care team either via email or via phone through our contact us page.

What materials are used inside Westinghouse Instant Hot Water Dispensers?

All internal water-carrying tubing inside Westinghouse Instant Hot Water Dispensers is made from high-grade, food-safe, BPA-free silicone. Silicone is used because it safely handles near-boiling temperatures, does not affect taste or odour, and is highly durable over thousands of heating cycles.

In some specific areas, such as the dispenser spout or precision valve components, heat-rated plastic or metal may be used. These parts must remain rigid and accurately shaped, which makes silicone unsuitable for those applications. All materials used meet relevant food-contact and appliance safety standards and are selected to ensure safe, reliable, and consistent performance.

Is this appliance BPA free?

Yes. All food-contact plastic components in this appliance are made from BPA-free materials and comply with applicable Australian food-contact safety requirements.
