Change my Air Fryer Temperature Scale

Some of us prefer to use °F when we cook rather than °C. Whether it is because that is what we were brought up with or it's because that is what all the good recipes refer to. What ever the reason we have you covered with some of our digital air fryers. To change between Celsius or Fahrenheit Temperature Scale please follow the steps below, dependant on your Westinghouse Air Fryer Model.

For the WHOF06K:

Press and Hold the following three buttons for three seconds.

Temperature + and - and the Time -. The Display will change from showing °C to showing °F or vice versa.

For the WHOF11KS

Press and Hold the following two buttons for three seconds.

Temperature + and -. The Display will change from showing °C to showing °F or vice versa.

What's the Best Way to Clean my Air Fryer

Air fryers often come with removable non-stick coated baskets and crisper plates. These can accumulate grease and food particles over time.

Cleaning Method:

  1. After every use, allow the basket to cool completely.
  2. Hand wash the basket and crisper plate with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge.
  3. For tough grease, soak the basket in hot water with dishwashing liquid for 10 minutes before scrubbing.
  4. Never submerge the main unit in water; wipe it with a damp microfibre cloth.

Extra Tips: If you notice odours in your air fryer, place a few lemon slices or a vinegar solution in the basket and run the air fryer for a few minutes to eliminate smells.

Both baking paper and aluminium foil are safe to use in an air fryer, though baking paper is preferable as foil may scratch the interior of the appliance. Ensure the baking paper or foil does not reach up too high as they may burn or catch fire if they sit too close to the heating element in the roof of the air fryer.

Immersing the whole appliance in water is extremely
dangerous and the appliance should not be used if submersion in water occurs.

How Do I Clean My Air Fryer’s Heating Element?

Keeping your air fryer’s heating element clean is essential for maintaining performance, safety, and great-tasting food. The heating element, usually located at the top of the unit, can collect grease and food residue over time, which may lead to uneven cooking, unpleasant flavours, smoke, or even a fire risk. Regular cleaning helps extend the life of your air fryer and keeps meals cooking efficiently.

To clean it, always unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before removing the basket and tray for easier access. Gently wipe the element with warm, soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge, and for stubborn grime, apply a baking soda paste and let it sit before wiping clean. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools, dry everything thoroughly, and make element cleaning part of your routine—especially after greasy or messy cooks.
