The Mineral deposits in tap water solidify when they are boiled/heated. Lime Scale may be come white, any Phosphates present will cause the water to appear cloudy when heated and may cause the interior of the water gauge to discolour. Depending on the hardness of your water will determine how much of these deposits are present. It is important to descale your Instant Hot Water Dispenser regularly to maintain the life of your Dispenser and keep it running efficiently.
The Water Storage unit of your Dispenser should be emptied and dried out on a regular basis to prevent build up of minerals and to keep the contents of the storage unit fresh.
If your Instant Hot Water Dispenser is not going to be used for an extended period of time please empty both the contents of the storage unit as well as expel any remaining water from the inside of the unit by setting it to free flow and pump the remaining water into a cup.
Please note that failure to descale your Dispenser regularly is deemed negligent and any faults caused by mineral build up will not be covered under warranty.
